Bernie Sanders will become front runner today- if he brings up Eric Holder and the revolving door BS

Revolving door: Holder returns to law firm that lobbies for big banks. 7-8 figure compensation
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10026945329

This is why millions of Americans had their homes stolen by bankers, have been stuck in poverty ever since, and no one was held accountable.

no law firm has done more to protect Wall Street executives from the consequences of their criminal activities than Covington & Burling. Their roster of clients includes every mega-bank in America: JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Bank of America. Yet Holder has joined several of his ex-employees there, creating a shadow Justice Department and an unquestionable conflict of interest. In fact, given the pathetic fashion in which DoJ limited punishment for those who caused the greatest economic meltdown in 80 years, Holder’s new job looks a lot like his old job.

You could actually make a plausible argument that Covington & Burling bears responsibility for the Great Recession: In the late 1990s, Covington lawyers drafted the legal justification for MERS, the private electronic database that facilitated mortgage-backed securities trading.

This is an outrage and Bernie Sanders is the perfect person to bring it to the public's attention via the corporate news.

This is the outrage that started Occupy, that was bringing both sides together to demand change.

Holder’s return, along with the return of a half-dozen other Covington lawyers who left in 2009 to join the administration.

Those lawyers include Covington partners Lanny Breuer and Mythili Raman, who each led the Criminal Division under Holder. Breuer, one of the longest-serving Criminal Division assistant attorney generals, is now vice chairman of the firm.

I have been at big downtown law firms and my son is at large firm now. What was Attorney General Holder suppose to do when he left public service? Take a vow of poverty. Holder was a partner at this firm before he left and came back to his old firm.

Attorney General Holder was a truly great attorney general which is why he was hated by the GOP. Holder did a great deal to protect voting rights. I saw first hand the job that the Department of Justice did in the Texas voter id case and the DOJ was very instrumental in getting an opinion finding that that the Texas voter id law was passed to intentionally discriminate against minorities. That finding is the basis of the litigation strategy that is currently being used in the North Carolina voter suppression case that goes to trial next week. In the North Carolina case, the DOJ is also playing a key role in that case.

Attorney General Holder did an amazing job defending voting rights and the attacks on him are really baseless.

BTW, the media is not going to be covering this theory because the media understands how the legal business works.

2/3 of the country cannot name a single SCOTUS justice, in the news way more than the AG, and you think you'll see a big shift because somebody whines about him getting a cushy job offer? How? The masses who don't vote are already cynical about political corruption. Saying "I think so too" doesn't make them more likely to vote; quite the opposite. People on this site seem to imagine some utopian society where common American conversations are about the details of Glass-Steagall or K street regulations, whereas 90% of it is about TV and sports and the vast majority of the rest rest is about sex.

The policy wonks who will even know who you mean, let alone care, already have enough info to have decided whether to support Sanders or not.

...should implicitly criticize the first African American President for his appointment of the first African American Attorney General, based on the the retired Attorney General's taking a new job for which there is no conflict of interest with his old job.

Well, it's different...
