It's simple...

...if you're going to claim to be runnning as a "progressive", you should be willing to clearly and openly state that there was no good reason for the Democratic Leadership Council, a group that existed solely to get the Democratic Party to stop being progressive, to exist. And you should apologize for playing any role in creating it.

That's what "evolving" would mean.

"Progressive" has become nothing more than a brand used to market conservative Democratic politicians to their more liberal base.

One look at Hillary's campaign finance records, advocacy for Wall Street, and hawkish foreign policy clearly disqualifies her from being considered an actual Progressive, but we've seen a remarkable marketing campaign designed to sell her as a "Progressive."
