There’s a lot going on in this quote by the presumptive Republican nominee, which a reader asked us to fact-check. Romney disparages President Obama’s $830 billion stimulus bill for allegedly not helping to create private sector jobs. He also dings government workers, suggesting that the president’s policies have led to a bloat of government workers — and that this is a bad thing for other workers.

Let’s take a deeper look at his claims.

The Facts

We have to admit that the statement is bit confusing, because it appears to mix different thoughts. The stimulus bill included payments to states to help save “government” jobs, such as those of teachers, firefighters and the like. But then Romney refers to “145,000 more government workers,” which is correct only if he is referring to federal workers, not state workers.

.........................

Romney has previously used the 145,000 figure in a misleading way, but in that instance he clearly said he was referring to federal workers. In this context, since the first part of his statement suggests he is talking about state government workers, the second part would be wrong, because the number of government workers overall has dramatically declined under Obama

This is my first post, but I'm really mad enough now to start saying something. Because of Scott Walker and his fancy dancy new curtains and land rover's in city hall, I'm a union guy and I just got voted out of a job.

We all need to get behind Obama. If Elizabeth Warren can win against Scott Walker in MA, who is part Indian, she has a lot to say about Afghanistan and the Unions, being from Massachusetts. She can hurt Romney, and beging able to stop the fat cats on Wall Street from TAXING US ALL TO DEATH while unions are being destroyed and the very fabric of the atmosphere is having it's CO2 levels increased gradually over millions of years because solar flare ups are literally WARMING THE PLANET, melting the ice bergs and the polar bears, and that is releasing CO2 into the atmosphere, which after water vapor and methane causes a lot of air conditioners needed - and ergo more coal, more water vaper. It's a circulating effect, one of the reasons Afghanistan is so freaking hot in the first place.

My step brother just came back from one of the LESS dangerous towns in Afganastan (11 months) and says the troops and a lot of the terrorists really support Obama trying to make things better for the world like I said better taxes and global warming, which would stop the terrorists (if they had unions there they wouldn't NEED to fight,) but they literally BARF, especially the poppy growers, Afganastan's main economics my step brother said, BARF at Romney and his tax man rich boy friends at PAIN incorporated. Cronies and Fat CATS!!!!!! My step brother wouldn't hurt a flee, much less a terrorist deposited off his rightful land in Pallistinian Isreal. That's why they hate us sometimes, because of that. Romeny will outlaw poppies in the Middle East.

When they don't provide details.

If there are any increases where are they?

And shouldn't there be some increases considering that the population larger than it was in 2009?
