OMalley and the 60 people who heard him on Friday in Waterloo heard a candidate touting his years of running states and cities, touching on many of the traditional liberal positions on raising the minimum wage, enforcing gun control and limiting income disparities. (11,495 posts)I think a lot of people want someone who has a record of getting things done, and fixing the problems we face every day, like low wages, high cost of going to college, cilvil rights, climate change a the list goes on and on. It seems to me that O'Malley has what it takes, and even though "polls" aren in his favor, that will change once people hear his message and check out his record of getting things done.
