Interesting day at a retired LE luncheon....

talk got around to politics and the presidential election...I kept quiet..Obama was mentioned with a couple negatives which were drown out by the majority...weird I thought. "W" was never ever mentioned and most aren't in the Rmoney camp. They seem to still like Clinton. One guy actually I'll say most are Republicans would rather have the present adminstration continue. The consensus is how can he get anything done if he dosen't have a second term..well that got me. They know there is a lot wrong with this country and it takes time to fix stuff. They all said Obama has aged a lot and he has a lot on his plate. They seem to think he is working hard. Somehow Rmoney is preceived as anti-cop. Well I was shocked for once I wasn't in the minority... I think the worm is turning over the collective bargaining issue and the attack on public service unions. It was a strange day to say the least.

* I forgot to add one old timer came in with a 99% t-shirt.

+1. In such environments people can be free to say what they feel, that's a good thing. freshwest Jun 2012 #6
