"Awkward" for the Republican candidates?

These were some comments on the morning show - don't remember which - about reacting to the massacre in S.C.

Awkward? A normal person would just express a shock and disbelief that nine people were shot any place, not necessarily in church. One does not need advisers and speech writers to find the exact words. Even if Perry meant "incident" - is this really the adequate word?

No, they don't need "details." They don't need to know the race or religion or creed of the victims and the shooter. All they had to do is express shock, anger and sadness. But they couldn't even master this reaction.

Some talked about killing "Christians." Would that have been OK had the shooting took place at a synagogue, a mosque, a Sikh temple? Oh, forgot, such a massacre DID take place at a Sikh temple.

I can see why some are charmed by Trump. At least he says the first thing that comes to his... OK, mind.

Shame on them. All of them.
