Dont Be Blinded By The Hillary Clinton Hologram
Voters must try to pierce through the "hologram" of American politics. So I'm getting in line behind the Democratic frontrunner even though I personally believe that ideological duels among like-minded partisans is healthy and good; and even though I personally dislike Hillary Clinton.

(30,250 posts)"Try to imagine the New York Times and Washington Post teaming up with Fox News impresario Rupert Murdochs News Corp. on an exposé of any other politician in Washington. Joe Conason wasnt exaggerating much when he called it the Hitler-Stalin Pact of contemporary journalism.
The two newspapers agreed to exclusive arrangements with one Peter Schweizer, a right-wing operative and author of Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich. The books publisher is HarperCollins, a News Corp subsidiary like Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, New York Post, etc.
Basically, were in Ann Coulter country here. Schweizers not a journalist, but a controversialist for right-wing think tanks. A former consultant to Sarah Palin and ghostwriter for Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Glenn Beck, he makes his living vilifying Democrats. Media Matters has posted a long list of withdrawn or retracted stories under his byline."
I find the NYT's approach to this book heinous. Innuendo, misinformation and outright lies are to be expected from FOX News and any Murdoch owned publication, but more is expected from the NYT. What I find particularly disturbing is that the Times is respected and, while objective people may dismiss anything reported on FOX as RW fabrications, these same folks will take seriously whatever is reported in the NYT. Is the Times so desperate for exclusives that they are willing to lower their standards and omit doing their due diligence before printing non-truths?
Very disappointing........
