Michigan Mechanic Who Won't "Service" Gays

I'm a little confused about his refusal to fix cars for people who are "openly gay." So, not just for our "gay wedding" (because ... the Bible) but not at all.

What if my sexuality doesn't come up as a topic of conversation when I bring my '96 Honda Accord in for a check-up (you'd be surprised how often it doesn't)? Are we good? Or could that change when I send my husband in to pick the car up? Does that mean you'll go back and break it again? I just want to know how this works.
