Abortion restriction laws? Who the fuck gives a shit about discrimination against women?

Who the fuck cares that many of these laws treat women like idiots unable to make their own decisions? Who the fuck cares that women are getting dangerous, erroneous "information" forced on them? Who cares that doctors are forced to lie?

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled by the support against discrimination of LGBT folks. I stand with those fighting against the pernicious institutionalized racism, but I am discouraged at the lack of support for this most critical issue for women.

Virtually every thread about new laws restricting a woman's right, sinks.

Women no longer have a right to an abortion in most of the country.

but who gives a shit?

Why? Because a Hillary email non-scandal is so much more important to the DU masses. leftofcool Mar 2015 #1

I'm definitely pro-choice, but as a male, my personal opinion on abortion does not count for much. The only place where it would have meaning is if I was involved with a pregnancy, and considering I'm 52....

FWIW, kick.

Say, trying to strip the Hyde Amendment language from every single budget she voted for while in the Senate?

spare some indiana-targeted outrage for the poor women of color persecuted by this backasswards state #PurviPatel

An unprecedented reproductive rights case in Indiana is as close as it gets to playing out Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale in America. Purvi Patel, a 33-year-old Indian-American woman, faces up to 70 years in prison on the contradictory charges of feticide and felony neglect for what advocates say was a stillbirth. How Patel ended up in handcuffs and a prison cell could be a chilling new reality for pregnant women across the United States.

I fight for LGBT rights and am thrilled at the backlash given Indiana and other states seeking to discriminate. But where is the outrage, the support for women?

Damn straight. Very few seem to care, and it's infuriating and disheartening. Who is speaking out nationally against this outrage? What major company is boycotting these states that tell us we're not full citizens? Who is taking to television or radio or even Facebook to denounce this? Anyone? Yeah, I didn't think so.
