Former Maryland governor Martin OMalley, who is looking and more like a full-fledged Democratic presidential candidate, will get some national exposure Sunday during an appearance on ABC Newss This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
OMalley, whose booking was announced by the show Friday morning, visited Iowa for two days last weekend and is headed to New Hampshire early next week to participate in a Politics & Eggs forum, considered a rite of passage for White House hopefuls in the nations first primary state. OMalley is slated to be back in Iowa, the first caucus state, early next month.
The former governor has been aggressively positioning himself to run as a more liberal and more forward-looking alternative to Hillary Rodham Clinton, the presumptive frontrunner for the Democratic nomination. OMalley has said he expects to decide whether to move forward with a bid by May.

(219 posts)He sounds like a guy I could stand behind and support. I will be interested to hear from Marylanders on how they feel about him. Did I read the stat right?... that he was reelected with 87% of the vote? If that is true... damn!
