Who appears on the edges to run for President could be very scary

It seems to be a common meme in the media, that it could be a repeat of a Clinton vs Bush presidential run..

If that is the case, as time goes on..keep a very close eye on who is running in second and third places in each party.

Because we could have some very major upsets.

My reasoning on that.. is that both Hillary and Jeb must carry the baggage of the family members who were President before.

And just reading in various forums.. that could get really old quickly among the great unwashed center.

Here in Iowa, the only action in town right now is E. Warren. I have been invited to one meeting of Democrats who are already getting active to set up campaign people. And she has said time and time again that she will not be running.

This worries me a little, because Hillary is presumed to be running.. just not announced yet..and I have not had one Hillary group contact.

Edit to add.. be very afraid if Scott Walker gets traction..

He's more dangerous than most realize, a genuine snake who can play to the rubes while bringing in the big Citizens United money. He will excite the cultural conservatives in a way that rMoney never could.

what a candidate has actually accomplished. His record is crappy. And the Dems will hammer him to death on it. It'll be like Mitt and his 47% video all over again. It will be merciless. The guy will drag his sorry ass back to Wisconsin and whine...

And even if the mainstream media manage to point out the many negatives about his actions over the course of his political career, especially since becoming governor, he will slither out of it with skin and tail intact. One of his greatest abilities is to be able to lie more easily than he tells the truth. I honestly believe he could pass any lie detector test out there. He makes statements that simply aren't true, but manages to leave enough of an out that his staff can just barely explain his lies away. If they can't, they have shown themselves to be willing to go to jail for him. Either way works for him.

He is slippery, ruthless, and pathologically ambitious. He is utterly amoral and most likely a sociopath. So as vile as he may be and as comical as he might look, we should not underestimate him.

8. I don't underestimate him. But I don't think he correctly estimates the power of the Hillary machine

Dems have learned the hard way. Respond early and respond hard. We may not have all the money the Koch's have but we have more brain power in our camp than they do and we will figure this out and get the message to the American voters that will shape the election.

but Scott Walker would be as bad as a Cruz, Santorum, Carson.....

Walker might not have the fiery rhetoric of the 3 aforementioned, but he would be as bad if not worse than them...Considering what he's done to unions, restrictions on abortions, making it more difficult to vote, in Wisconsin, imagine him running the country,

Also imagine how bad a Scott Walker SCOTUS nominee would be....

Given the fact that many D's don't want to run against her, it could be a problem if there is no viable alternative in the primary. I think she will run.

I agree with keeping track of who is gaining traction on the Republican side. We can't afford to ignore that. My guess is there will be 10-12 candidates by the fall. Before Iowa 4-5 of those will flame out (hello Rick Perry) with 7-8 total candidates. I think after New Hampshire they will be down to 3-4 total.
