In a resignation letter obtained by POLITICO, Brock, a close Clinton ally, accused Priorities officials of planting an orchestrated political hit job against his own pro-Clinton groups, American Bridge and Media Matters.
Those groups along with another pro-Clinton group, the super PAC Ready for Hillary had their fundraising practices called into question last week by a New York Times report. It pointed out that veteran Democratic fundraiser Mary Pat Bonner got a 12.5 percent commission on funds she raised for Brocks groups, and a smaller percentage commission on cash she raised for Ready for Hillary.
In his letter to the co-chairs of Priorities board former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm and former Obama campaign manager Jim Messina Brock alleged that current and former Priorities officials were behind this specious and malicious attack on the integrity of these critical organizations.

I have a close relative who works for Brock, and who has been talking for months about how much effort money and manpower his organizations were preparing to put behind the Hillary campaign; can't wait to find out what the inside scoop is and what this now means.

(2,097 posts)As I said, I'm pretty familiar with one of his organizations, and they're completely in the bag for Hillary and have been coordinating with her people extensively. It'll be interesting to see if and how that continues, going forward.

He got in on the ground floor and snatched it for Hillary's exclusive use when Obama was done with it. The first thing they did was announce they would sit out the 2014 election in preparation for Hillary's run in 2016.
Harold Ickes is a long time Clinton ally and advocate. He represented her at the meeting of Dem officials in Florida re: disposition of Florida and Michigan delegates. He passed on her message that she might take the fight it to the convention floor.

A spokesman with the group, Priorities USA Action, confirmed to BuzzFeed on Wednesday night that it would not be involved in House or Senate campaigns.

(30,253 posts)Priorities USA Action is a PAC. It is not part of any official Hillary campaign, particularly since she still hasn't announced she's running.

(13,877 posts)back the Democrat that can win. If that happens to be The One that the Republicans fear the most, then sobeit. If they start to fear someone else later on, I'm in on that too. I'm not invested in WHO it is just that we don't get a couple more Thomas' on the SCOTUS and a few other little benefits of a Democrat in the White House.
Let Democrats move forward with sanity and unity...nobody gets everything they want. There are millions of us and only one person can be the D Candidate then President.

(30,253 posts)I don't come here that often anymore. The negativity and vicious attacks on people who I respect and like was wearing me down. There's enough stress in the real world to have to spend one's free time continually arguing with people on an internet site.
Going by what I read around here on a regular basis, some will not vote for the nominee if that nominee is Hillary. I guess they think that a Republican will do a better job in the WH. It's a "cut your nose to spite yourself" approach to politics. Ridiculous and ineffective.
