I wonder if the 'powers that be' at the time reprimanded him in private for that statement. It strikes me as kind of odd that a Bush would go against the grain like that.

It was really unfair to call trickle-down "Voodoo Economics" ...
.... because every now and then you could hear a story about how voodoo actually worked.
