Obama's initiatives: The Republicans will yowl on Fox, but they're paying VERY close attention too

If Obama's initiatives with Cuba, immigration, and any others (which there will surely be) have any kind of lasting success, the Republicans will be paying very close attention.

If Obama's actions have a lasting effect, look for MASSIVE Republican electoral fraud in 2016--stuff that will make 2000, 2002, 2004, 2010 and 2014 seem like rehearsals for a kindergarten play.

They will want to play the game, too, and their goals will be as evil as Obama's are meant to be benevolent. If it's another situation like Bush Jr., where a weak, detached figurehead president did the bidding of his financial puppetmasters, look for some dark times ahead if another Republican gets in the White House.

The time to start to think about some preventive medicine is NOW, not November 2015. I hope what Democratic members of government are left, right up to the White House, are paying attention. Thee is NO excuse not to see this coming.

and I hope the Democratic party is paying attention and deciding to take action(s), and not ignoring as they did in the past.

I sent this to the White House, but don't know if they will pay much attention. The Obama administration, after all, is done with their last campaign. I will be taking it up with both Dean brothers in separate meetings in the States in January, as well.

But if they're the right ears, and they listen, at least I feel like I haven't tried in vain.

3. For the following reasons

2008: They knew after the disaster Cheneybush left behind that no Republican was going to win the White House that year. That's why they let McGramps finally have his nomination--it was meant as a consolation prize, which is exactly what it turned out to be. Plus, Howard's brilliant strategy made sure they would have no shot at either house of Congress either.

2012: They realized far too late that Obama was actually vulnerable. Had they realized it 8 months earlier, Willard would never have gotten the nomination, and the Kochs would have poured their money into a serious candidate for the primary--one to their liking, and one they could have groomed into a serious contender. The Republican primary season would never have turned into the slapstick comedy it became. Gingrich, Bachmann, Perry and Herman Cain all front runners at one point? That's a scene straight from Comedy Central.

2. Redistricting that divides clusters of Dems and potential Dems into small minorities within conservative districts. Used to be called gerrymandering.

3. Ethnic cleansing of the rolls of registered voters.

4. Putting out lots of booths at the polling places in conservative/affluent districts and putting out very few in low-income areas and college campuses.

5. Phone banks that target registered Democrats to say their day to vote is Wednesday.

6. Flyers and mailers that target registered Democrats to say their day to vote is Wednesday.

7. Losing boxes and boxes of voter registrations, but only the Democratic ones.

8. Highly restrictive policies for voter registration in the first place, with heaviest impact falling on students, the elderly, and the poor.

9. Assigning police roadblocks on the way to the polling stations in minority districts.

10. Rolling back the provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

RBInMaine, we have a problem. It used to be a Southern states bigotry thing, but ever since the election that put George W. Bush into the White House, it has become a full-on GOP versus all Democratic voters strategy all over the country.

Focusing only on "big ideas" and failing to recognize the elephant in the room will ensure we lose again and again. Get out your lawyers and citizen activists. They mean it, and so should we.

It probably cost us the Senate seat in North Carolina. It is difficult to "focus on winning elections" if a double digit percentage of your core base gets excluded from exercising their right to vote.

Big idea: prevent further election fraud by republicans. Have a Democratic candidate start talking about it to keep it front burner. have poll watchers ready in all 51 states
