My President has got to start blowing things up..

He needs to be ponding out the message concerning what will happen if our base stays home in November..This should be pounded on at the end of every speech from now to election day..

Impeachment efforts, probable loss of ACA, Deportation bills effecting millions, changes in laws which will effect the LGBT community, Deregulation Bills effecting environment, putting financial institutions into the same situation they were in pre- 2007..

I mean the list is freaking enormous and scary..and President Obama must be all over this horrible potential disaster at every single stop he makes..until its over...Shit this is scary stuff.

Well scare the shit out of us Mr. President!!!

The biggest threat to America — the only force that can really weaken us — is us. We have so many things going for us right now as a country — from new energy resources to innovation to a growing economy — but, he said, we will never realize our full potential unless our two parties adopt the same outlook that we’re asking of Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds or Israelis and Palestinians: No victor, no vanquished and work together.

at the republicans. Their obstructionism and incalcitrant behavior based on nothing but hatred and racism can not be addressed with your example..

Safe political speeches which fail to exactly point out why this country is in a serious trouble, just does not cut it..

“Our parties adopt the same outlook” never happened and never will.. The Republican’s only goal at the beginning of Obama’s presidency was t oversee his failure.. Remember Mitch McConnell..??

A freaking Jobs and Work Program can not happen because Republicans feel we can’t afford it?

Are you kidding me..??

“Our politics are dysfunctional,” said the president, and we should heed the terrible divisions in the Middle East as a “warning to us: societies don’t work if political factions take maximalist positions. And the more diverse the country is, the less it can afford to take maximalist positions.”

While he blamed the rise of the Republican far right for extinguishing so many potential compromises, Obama also acknowledged that gerrymandering, the Balkanization of the news media and uncontrolled money in politics — the guts of our political system today — are sapping our ability to face big challenges together, more than any foreign enemy. “Increasingly politicians are rewarded for taking the most extreme maximalist positions,” he said, “and sooner or later, that catches up with you.”

My point is simple.. Use Graphs and make it simple.. Step away from Presidential like explanations. “Balkanization”, “maximalists positions”, come on...more passion!!!!! more passion, less, professorial..

They don't care what goes on around

What they need's a damn good whacking.

I was just reading the comments on a news story on another site.

They started out with some people going on about how crazy Obama was.

Then some democrats chipped in

Then the conservatives started going on about "you liberals" and basically just name calling.

The funny part was that it was just a bunch of comments of people hating on each other because of their party and almost nothing in the comments about the person's actual thoughts on the article or particulars.

I think we need to move more toward the thing were more people argue about the fine details. When we just argue because of party label then we move more toward what Obama was talking about.
