If Democrats TURN OUT, we do FINE in the national mid-terms and GREAT at the state level.

And WHY should they turn out? Well, first, enough of this stinking, steaming, childish, silly, goofy, nonsensical HORSE SHIT about not being "excited." That reminds me of kids who won't do their homework because it isn't "exciting" enough. Sheesh. Are we children or adults here? If the rotten-to-the-very-god-damned-core ReSCUMlicans and their racism and sheer INSANITY can't motivate people to vote, then what can?

There are VAST and HUGE differences between the ReSCUMs and Dems. VAST ! It is right there, and if people look and listen, our side is saying it ALL the time. Christ, Obama just had two events last week where he lambasted the Congressional RePUKES as the DO-NOTHINGS that they are. Said it again in his news conference. The differences have been all over MSNBC, on our blogs and forums, in our candidates' speeches, emails, and stump speeches. Just look at how Grimes pounded the CRAP out of MitchTheTurtle over the weekend in KY.

Here in Maine, our candidates are saying it over and over and over again: How the RePUKES are DO-NOTHINGS. How they are against what WE are FOR: minimum wage hike, Made in American jobs bills, equal pay laws, immigration reform, and on and on and on, all Dem bills that are sitting in Congress with no action because of the ReSCUMS. Don't god damned tell me we aren't saying it and doing it BECAUSE WE ARE. Just LISTEN ! Bernie Sanders, a progressive Indy, is pounding the crap out of the REPUBLICANS all the time. So is Grayson. So is Pelosi. So are MANY others all the time. So is the DNC, and DCCC, and the DGA, and DSCC, and the state Dem parties. Here in Maine, we are putting the shit to our TeaBag Governor LePage ALL THE TIME AND HARD !

Now they are suing Obama and threatening impeachment. Will that do it? Will that get people off their butts and to the polls? How clear can it be? How more MOTIVATING can it get to take a little time to go vote?

Yes, we will need to keep doing two things: STAY ON OFFENSE AND ATTACK THE LIVING CRAP OUT THE REPUKES HARD JUST LIKE GRIMES DID THIS PAST WEEKEND AS THE OUT OF TOUCH, OUT OF TUNE, EXTREME DO-NOTHINGS THAT THEY ARE, COUPLED WITH A STRONG POPULIST MESSAGE ON THE ISSUES THAT WE WIN ON HANDS DOWN: immigration reform, minimum wage, equal pay, Made in America jobs bills, closing corporate tax loopholes, etc.

THIS IS NOT 2010 ! We can do fine nationally AND kick major ass at the state level with 10 governor flips. Don't let the corporate right wing meme succeed.

Tell EVERYONE: Donate, campaign, and VOTE. (You can make calls for candidates right from home. Put out a few yard signs. Drop literature. Put on some bumper stickers. It doesn't get any easier, nor does it take much time.)

Give me a break.. I am so blasted sick and tired of that..

But it is par for the course for those who would rather have the republicans in charge and feel damn sanctimonious in their complaints against the party in charge..than getting off their fat backsides and actually helping..

And yes.. it is true.. we got gerrymandered for house seats.. but like you said.. if people will wake up, we can move this country. .. senate seats do NOT get gerrymandered..

EDIT TO ADD.. yes I am a Democrat and proud of it..

We need them the 'middle of the road' voters and the lackadaisical voters and the 'I'm sick of politics' voters. Because Repubs are going to vote out of spite and anger and hatred regardless of who is running. In order to beat them, we need to convince those others to put down the remote control and the potato chips and vote.

The push forward needs to be exactly that, an unrelenting push.

What many people seem to fail to realize is that we have a chance at some major victories. The country continues to become more and more progressive, slowly but surely, which is putting social conservatives on the defensive and bringing them to show their true, ugly colors. If we play it right, all they are going to do is alienate people with their hateful views and push themselves further away from any meaningful relevance. Rulings such as the one in favor of Hobby Lobby is going to help energize progressive voters. ACA has let us put our foot in the door toward more meaningful healthcare form. Etcetera.

There are many wonderful chances to exploit, if only we keep the pressure firm and steady.

You and I and our friends on the right aren't the people who won't be showing up in November; it's the disaffected and non-political voters who don't get worked up about the issues we care about, view Washington as a place where nobody gets things done and doesn't get worked up to come out and vote because they've decided it won't make a difference. That's who you have to appeal to, and beating up on Republicans won't change enough minds; you need to focus on a clear, positive message of what you will accomplish, AND convince voters that it's possible.

with the democratic party ...

Too many Democratic leaders are cowering in a corner scared of their shadows ...

So, while the republicans are screaming bloody murder for better or for worse, radio silence from Democrats.

No fight at all, much less putting up some actual policy agenda or trying to give people something to vote FOR.
