Republicans have become so used to rewriting history that they actually believe their own lies now.

Oh yeah, theirs.......

I do remember them trying to compare the filibustering of judicial nominees but from what I recall, it was a pale, ghostly white compared to their filabstruction since PBO came into office.

They can point out examples of stuff Republicans do and stuff Democrats do and claim that it's equal, comparable, etc. It's extremely irritating.

4. Because stopping all government function is exactly what the GOP wants.

Democrats actually want to govern, Republicans do not.

The GOP's call for a smaller government is a call to stop all government function, outside defense.

If the Democrats obstructed everything, the government comes to a stand still and that's what the GOP wants. They want to kill government functions and loot the taxes.

When out of power, Dems still try to work with the GOP to keep the government functioning.

Given that the man LOST the 2000 election, Democrats had no obligation to work with Old Pretender.

I remember Bush 'shock & awe' on TV news with all their grins, as ancient buildings blew-up, but don't worry the oil fields were guarded. I remember Bush on the warship gloating victory. I remember no journalists allowed so bush gang could control what was seen. I remember the pallets of American CASH, a billion us dollars passed out and lost. I remember no pictures of the coffins returning allowed.
