President Romney wouldn't decide to go to war. Others would decide that for him and he would follow suit.

This may be a little off topic, but I just want to use this op-ed to show why forcing a change of government through demonstrations (like happened in Ukraine) is dangerous.

Imagine if Conservatives went and protested for a long time outside the white house and succeeded in getting Obama impeached and replaced by Romney who then advocates for Republican policies which we all know include war, war, and more war.

Anyway sorry to hijack this thread, but it seemed a good chance to point out the dangerousness of changing governments and government policies through forceful and violent demonstrations of a couple of hundred thousands Ukrainians or American Conservatives.

My apologies.

but peaceful transition should be encouraged. We should say that Crimea has the right to vote this issue but it should be done with international observers at the polls and without the russian army rolling into Crimea. In the past the big powers have forced two or three people to make one nation that really should have the freedom to be the nation that they want to be, just like we separated from Britain in the 1770s.
