Reagan was a bigoted, racist, war mongering jackass, and he is the reason I start snarling the minute I sniff any of that 'moderate Reagan Democrat' bullshit to this day. One must remain ever vigilant against such cold, bitter winds.

Except that our founding fathers:
1. Believed in the rule of law.
2. Generally believed in the separation of church and state.
3. Were opposed to a National Religion.
4. Punitive punishments were looked down upon.
5. Governing through general elections as opposed to inherited positions.

So yes, they are like our founding fathers, except for the turbans and beards. Do I really need to add the sarcasm icon. Thank goodness Ronnie is doing his sleeping outside the cabinet meetings and can't do anymore damage.
