First senator to openly endorse legalizing marijuana?

Meet Maine's Democratic candidate, a brilliant young woman who's running against Ted Cruz-loving-Repub Susan Collins. I've known Shenna for years, and she has "it" -- passion, brains, and a big, big heart. She was executive director of ACLU Maine, worked tirelessly to push through Maine's right to marry law, and has a long, long history of activism (Vista, Peace Corps, ACLU, gay rights, environmental causes, women's rights).

She's upfront and says exactly what she believes. She's not afraid to say she thinks pot should be legalized, which is a brave stance. I wish Shenna Bellows could be President.

I've already talked acquaintances in Key West and Philly into donating to Shenna.

She's up against Republican powerhouse Susan Collins, who has a huge war chest. Collins has coasted too long on a reputation as "the reasonable Republican." Well, that's turned out to be an oxymoron. Collins votes too often with the crazies in the GOP.

We need Shenna to turn the balance in our favor.
