2. Just because he talked to his wife about the scandal does not mean

he spoke to her about confidential state matters.

I am not defending Christie in any way and have strong suspicions he was directly involved and is once again lying.

That said it does not bother me at all that he discussed this with his wife as long as matters not in the public domain are not on the agenda.

Look when I have a rough day at work or wherever I often discuss my frustrations, etc. with those closest to me. I use them as sounding boards.

There is nothing unusual or illegal about that unless he went well beyond what is now known and, for example, said "Honey, what am I going to do. Bridget and the gang and I got really drunk one night and we detailed out the whole plan. We put all the scummy Democratic mayors' names into a hat and we each drew out a name. Then we played naked spin the bottle to see whose mayor would be selected for some "trouble". It was a hoot honey. I got all hot and bothered and came home and woke you up and we did it long into the night".

That would be a problem.
