Stockman Drops Curious 'Past And Present Endorsements' List From Campaign Site

Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX), who is mounting a primary challenge to incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), appeared to remove a list of "past and present endorsements" from his campaign website this weekend after the Washington Post pointed out its inconsistencies.
The Post reported that as of Friday, at least seven out of 12 groups listed on that page had not actually endorsed Stockman's Senate bid. One endorsement, the Post points out, was attributed to conservative activist Howard Phillips, who died seven months before Stockman jumped into the race.
When the Post asked Stockman's campaign about problems with the endorsements page, spokesman Donny Ferguson said the information was being updated. But the endorsements page was removed as of Saturday, the Post noted.
The Huffington Post pointed out before the Post report that Stockman's endorsements page touted the support of the National Rifle Association. In fact, the NRA endorsed Cornyn.
