MSM - Unemployment Down, Stock Market Up, No New Wars, So Worse Year In Obama Presidency?

The coverage of the President Obama's press conference illustrates the right wing and monopolistic nature of the main stream media. One person asks whether 2013 was the worst year in President Obama's presidency, and even though President Obama said no, almost every MSM outlet lead with a story declaring that 2013 was the year in President Obama's presidency, discussing his poor poll numbers and attacking his credibility.

Republicans have repeatedly spread outright lies about climate change, taxes cuts not increasing the deficit, and the ACA, yet the MSM never runs a concerted attack on their credibility declaring any Republican a liar. Likewise, Republicans in Congress have far lower poll numbers then the President or Democrats, yet the MSM rarely argues that they must move to the left and embrace ideas offered by Democrats. Instead, the issue is raised as one of tactics.

Finally, while last year was not ideal, we did not get attacked (9/11), we were not trying to avoid a Great Depression (2008-2009), and we did not send thousands of Americans to invade another country (Afganistan and Iraq). Indeed, in Syria, we reached an agreement to destroy WMDs without a war, and in Iran, we are finally making steps toward addressing their nuclear program.

So, last year was hardly perfect, but the worse year of President Obama's presidency? Is it due to a two month delay in the federal website? Really?

What is up with the MSM? Is it because of all of its sponsored content that it must push the right wing lies that it is paid to distribute? How can hundreds of news outlets here a press conference that covers numerous topics, and come out of it with pretty much the same uninformative headline? This must be why Slate actually ran a story afterwards asking about what was the most stupid question at the Press Conference.

At least a journalist did not repeatedly ask the President, "So, will declare this Mission Accomplished" in order to try to set up some strained Bush/Obama comparison, as was done in a recent press briefing.

the fact that we're NOT actively at war with Iran yet is a bad thing. I imagine many of the same people are also probably very upset that their attempts to kill the economy haven't been successful. None of the overhyped "scandals" have amounted to much either, which must also drive the wingers nuts because they've been looking for an excuse to impeach President Obama for since day one. The fact that many of them are talking about it without being able to come up with a justification for it is pretty stunning IMHO. Rumors of President Obama's political demise have been as consistent throughout his Presidency as they have been drastically exaggerated beyond all reasonableness. I'm sick of the false equivalencies between Bush and Obama. When Healthcare.gov starts bombing (who knows how many people) in another country and sending thousands of our own to an early grave and is unable to find phantom WMDs and fails to adequately respond to a natural disaster that also results in several deaths, and, on top of everything else, results in a massive economic recession maybe THEN we can compare the two. Otherwise.........

Oh, and by the way, I'm sure that President Obama likes his approval ratings more than Republicans probably do
