Obenshain will request the recount and frankly he should. 164 votes out if 2,000,000? He'd be crazy not too.

The Obenshains are huge in the Va GOP - there office in Richmond is named after the father- this would be very embarrassing if they can't get a legacy elected. oh well that's what nominating The Cooch and the other guy Jackson who makes Cooch seem a little less whackjob

I was so disgusted at having to vote for a certain governor-elect that I was determined to enter my own name on the downticket elections (most of which were going to be won by unopposed Republicans). I actually opened the write-in part of the AG race, then realized I had a Democrat on that ticket, so I backed out and voted for Herring. Then I voted for myself as delegate.

I'm pleased that we came away with what we did, but we screwed up in Virginia really bad. The Commonwealth's legislature, mostly Republican, had a walk-in election because Democrats did not run a candidate in every district, and now we're screwed for at least another four years. We could have snipped off a lot of those chumps if people like me had been more diligent in putting together a coherent statewide campaign.

I'll try harder next time.

I've written in people, but never myself. I bet the poll watchers where I vote would yell it out if I did. They do whenever I write in anyone. It's not so embarrassing if the name that I write in is not my own.

You think they'd know better. They've been doing that job for as long as I've been voting! Same faces every time.

Special props to Rachel Maddow for keeping Cuchinelli and Co. in her headlights, and cue the Vonage theme!
