From the age of 16 through college Paul Ryan used social security, after college he worked on the
staff of a member of congress, and he has been an elected member of "big government" since 1998
..... so he has been either supported by or part of "big government" for about 26 of his 43 years.

Ryan said the loss was tough and looking back on the campaign one problem he and Romney faced was "we were arguing against big government in theory."

Ryan said that now people are seeing "big government in practice."

He added, "The next time you have a famous politician coming through Iowa breezing through the towns talking about big government, let's be a bit more skeptical."

Ryan took aim at the faltering rollout of the health care law and said it "is doing real harm to real people. This law is taking people and disrupting their lives. Millions of people are getting cancellation notices. Families are seeing their premiums go up."
