Michele Bachmann Wants to Ban Halloween Stating, “Sucking on Satan’s Candy Sacks Leads to Liberalism

Michele Bachmann Wants to Ban Halloween Stating, “Sucking on Satan’s Candy Sacks Leads to Liberalism”

"Michele Bachmann, Republican Congressional Representative to Minnesota and founder of the Tea Party Caucus, is at it again. She is calling for a ban on Halloween, stating, “This holiday is based in Satanism. It’s a Pagan ritual to worship Satan and call him forth to the earth and the liberal elites have added socialism to it. We are in the end days and we must purify our nation if we are to be welcomed into the kingdom of God.”

Perhaps Bachmann needs a history lesson. While there are some links to Celtic Festival of Samhain, which comes from the Old Irish for “summers end,” many historians also link today’s Halloween costumes to Christian dogma and practices derived from it. Halloween falls on the evening before the Christian holy days of All Hallow’s Day on Nov 1 and All Soul’s Day on November 2, giving the holiday on October 31 the name, All Hallow’s Eve. These three days are collectively refered to as Hallowmas and are a time for honoring the saints and praying for the recently departed souls who have yet to reach Heaven."

But her crew will lap this crap out of her palm.

For whatever reason(s) "Satan's candy sacks" make me think of her husband (Marcus?) and teabaggin' it.

As much as I loathe MB, it appears at least according to Snopes that this is not true. It is a pretty outrageous statement so I had to check it out. False according to Snopes. I always check these things out when they sound too outrageous to be true and never forward them for the same reason. MB has said enough true stuff that there is no reason to make stuff up about her crazy mindset.

The fact is that not only are they crazy, lacking in self awareness and have no shame, but it also seems their handlers encourage them to go the extra-mile. It makes it hard for the satirical people. It's like a bottomless well of crazy.
