Rep. Pete Sessions named as man behind contested Obama insult

A new report finds that Harry Reid shared the story of Sessions' telling Obama "I cannot even stand to look at you"

BY ELIAS ISQUITH

Despite the White House’s insistence that the whole brouhaha is a “misunderstanding,” the Huffington Post reports that it was Texas Republican Pete Sessions who, during the negotiations over the government shutdown, told President Obama, “I cannot even stand to look at you.”

The Huffington Post’s reporting, which is based on conversations with two unnamed senators, outlines quite the game of D.C. telephone: According to HuffPo, the story likely reached Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin through Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who in turn heard about it first from a White House staffer who was present at the time.

Harry Reid then told his caucus about Sessions’ flap. According to the report, Reid said that the president’s response to Sessions was a “dignified” recognition that the two men held vastly different beliefs.

2. Make him apologize. The only "misunderstanding" is that it got out. Stick to your guns. And can't

you just hear PBO saying something classy like that. He did it over and over on the campaign trail, even as they bullied and tried to humiliate both he his wife with sick images and slurs during and the first combative term. And his daughters have shown equal class.

Now they are beyond rabid that the all those American people he has caused to "suffer" with his ACA seem to be feeling a whole lot better.

How he came to be the first black president is becoming more and more apparent, and he will, indeed, go down in history as one of the greats.

He's had far too much experience with those jerks.

And I would bet he expressed some anger or disgust in private to someone he trusts. He's just too smart to let sub humans like Sessions see that they are having any impact.

7. Sadly, you are right. He has learned that his anger would be better funnelled into actions.

If he did say it, find out is he man enough to own up to it.
