His on-air flogging of his books became really irritating some time ago, as far as I'm concerned---as if he isn't irritating enough without such flagrant commercialism.

Sometimes, I love to see them, like Valerie Plame and her new book. I'm just glad she's keeping in the spotlight somewhat...we all need to be reminded of what that rat bastard Cheney did to her and Joe...

If Valerie Plame is scheduled as a guest on Morning Joe, I expect and applaud her efforts to promote her book. When I watch Matthews' show, I'm looking for current political analysis, not repeated, intrusive, money-grubbing reminders of his latest book.
