(53,661 posts)...The campaign, launching today, includes robocalls in his district and an online campaign using Twitter and Google ads to target voters in Virginia...
The call in Virginia starts: Im calling from the DNC with a GOP shutdown alert.... Congressman Eric Cantor was an architect of the GOPs government shutdown and it hurts folks in the Richmond area.
The call says Tens of thousands of Virginians working for the federal government have been furloughed and they wont get paid until after Cantor reopens the government.
The call talks about the impact of the shutdown on Virginia and offers an option to connect the voter with Cantors office and demand that he stop holding the economy hostage...

I think I know what happened when you tried to copy and paste. It didn't highlight when you did it the regular way, right?
I'm finding this recently and I hold down the mouse to do the highlight, then hit copy. Even though I couldn't see it. I paste it on a text page, then check it out and edit to 4 paragraphs. That's how I did this here.
Good luck with your next OP. This is really exciting news. I left out the paragraphs with their mealy mouthed excuses and kept the hard hitting advertising.
Also, I thought it was great that in addition to Cantor, the DNC is also targeting Speaker of the House John Boehner, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and U.S. Sens. Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.
These demagogues and crooks need to be removed from office. Thanks for the find.

(31,828 posts)If you go to his facebook page - you can see why I say that. This shut down is making him very vulnerable. I really REALLY like the comments of, "You were a great State Senator but as a Congressman not so much."
Hunterdon, Warren, and Somerset counties are ripe and ready for the picking. The 'TEAS' commenting are all from out of state or South Jersey. We have maybe one bagger from out in Phillipsburg in district making an ass out of himself on there.
Every single one of the 20/21 Republicans who SAID they would vote for a clean c.r. but are now throwing up requirements for that needs to be gone after. They are mostly in the North East and out here - "us is pissed'.

(53,661 posts)The article the OP writer mentioned about not being able to copy and paste did not highlight when I tried to do so with my mouse. Some web sites don't work as easily with my computer as others. I've been doing this on political boards since the coup of 2000. Only recently had this. At any rate, your question is really for the OP writer, and not me. EOM.
