So when does Boehner get replaced?

He publicly states he can't work with the White House, the Senate Majority Leader has publicly stated he is an untrustworthy liar, and he can't get his own party to fund a clean CR, let alone negotiate a budget since 2009.

This guy seems to be incompetent.

Why is he still considered a "leader" in the Republican party?

Thing is, I don't know any Republican who would do a better job.
They are all pretty lousy at the moment.

There is no reason for Dems to cooperate with moderate Reps in replacing him mid-term (if such a thing is even possible). Neither teabaggers or moderate Reps have enough votes separately to replace him, and I doubt they would agree on a candidate to unify behind. The teabaggers will likely primary him in '14, and there's no reason for Dems to help him out, since a more extremist GOP candidate makes it easier for a Dem in the GE. Hes pretty well fucked, and I won't cry when hes gone. As to who might be speaker to replace him in Jan '15, I have no idea. Depends who controls house, and whether teabagger candidates take a pounding at polls or not.

I'm almost sure the Rs will still control the House after the 2014 election. I don't see enough districts to swing. I'd guess Cantor would be next in line.

At this point it's obvious republicans fear a clean bill on the table.

it's either him or someone even more extreme from within his party. Boehner is the lesser of many evils here.
