about Syria, and talking with an agenda to calm this Syria thing down before it gets out of hand. Syria is not a loner, Russia and China are deeply invested in Syria's future.

If Obama and Kerry could muster some diplomatic firepower, Putin is the best chance to control how Assad conducts his half of the civil war. If Russia started lobbing cruise missile strikes into Israel or any other American ally for any reason, the United States would react,...and it could get real ugly real fast.

Russian ships are in Syrian ports, Obama showed his cards and then made a bet...pretty stupid in my opinion. There is no positive outcome for the United States to become involved in a Syrian civil war. I think Putin would love to see the United States step into another bottomless unwinnable war.

That said, Putin would mash Obama into paste and serve him on crackers while fishing shirtless. Obama's not going to out-bully the alpha-Russian bully. Logic and reason........it's in Putin's best interest to keep Syria's use of chemical weapons in check, and it's in Assad's best interest to keep Putin in his corner. Most importantly it's in the United States' best interest to not get involved militarily.

Putin is a creepy little piece of authoritarian throwback shit, made all the more obvious by standing next to a class act like Obama.
