"Obamacare eliminates cap on insurance payments"

is a new touching ad that I saw on TV. A mother telling how her daughter needed a heart surgery expressing her happiness that she does not have to worry about reaching the cap and not be able to treat her little girl.

I hope that this will be shown everywhere. Let's respond with our own ammunition.

1. Why is the Right so afraid of Obamacare?

The G.O.P. would love nothing more than to discredit the current administration and especially Obama. If they so vehemently believe it will be a "train wreck" why not just let Obamacare roll full speed and watch it crash and burn? The Dems throwing the country into ruin and despair would pretty much guarantee a Rep victory next term, and probably for many to come. They could swoop in, clean up the mess, and show themselves to be the heroes they believe they are. They have shown themselves to have no qualms whatsoever about sabotaging the country to make the other side look bad, so if they truly believe The Affordable Healthcare Act? to be a nightmare, why fight it so hard?

2. For full fascism to be accepted, government MUST fail. All functions become private property.

They are waiting for a fire sale to buy up all assets of the USA for the best price. The more hopelessness, the more prey the people are to demagogues.

Purposeful destabilization leading to chaos leading to dictatorship. Long history of this in the world.

Unhappy events abroad have retaught us two simple truths about the liberty of a democratic people. The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic State itself.

That, in its essence, is fascism - ownership of government by an individual, by a group or by any other controlling private power.

The second truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if its business system does not provide employment and produce and distribute goods in such a way as to sustain an acceptable standard of living. Both lessons hit home.

Among us today a concentration of private power without equal in history is growing.

~ Franklin D. Roosevelt

Simple Truths message to Congress (April 29, 1938).

Roosevelt's VP described the process:

"The really dangerous American fascist... is the man who wants to do in the United States in an American way what Hitler did in Germany in a Prussian way. The American fascist would prefer not to use violence.

His method is to poison the channels of public information. With a fascist the problem is never how best to present the truth to the public but how best to use the news to deceive the public into giving the fascist and his group more money or more power...

They claim to be super-patriots, but they would destroy every liberty guaranteed by the Constitution. They demand free enterprise, but are the spokesmen for monopoly and vested interest.

Their final objective, toward which all their deceit is directed, is to capture political power so that, using the power of the state and the power of the market simultaneously, they may keep the common man in eternal subjection."

~ U.S. Vice President Henry A. Wallace, quoted in the New York Times, April 9, 1944

3. My husband is paying more insurance now

The insurance company raised the premiums . Also, when I went to the doctor the last time, I was told that my checkup was covered but if I said that I was going that day for a "pain in my arm" , I would have to pay my deductible, which is now super high.

6. Indiana is telling folks that ACA will raise premium up at least 70%

Koch Brothers and others, including the religious right - death panels, et al., Corporate media carrying water for everything negative and more false bullshit. Professional sports refuse to promote it. Many businesses refuse it as well and speaks loudly about it to the media. Horror stories from gopers to their constituents.

Why are gopers so afraid of ACA, maybe because in gopers tiny little minds they fear another party's success meaning "favorable" and all gopers care about is winning for the 1% and eff the rest of us.

Look at all the obstruction gopers are doing. They don't want Dems to be favored for anything. House refuse to work on immigration, and has passed a messed up farm's bill w/o snap, student loans, and abortion billssss. Voted to repeal ACA 38 time.

Sequester is kicking in and no jobs plans. Gopers want smaller government which means privatizing everything (Detroit) BUT gopers want to spy into your bedrooms and up women's body parts where women don't have a choice. No minimum wage and no health care coverage . .

7. Obama discredits himself quite thoroughly with the absence of a New Deal and gouging social safety

Obamacare is not the preferred social healthcare system; it was essentially written by the speculative casino of Wall Street.

However, I will defend the policy to the death until we can reform it; the Republicans don't want Americans to know that healthcare is a universal human right, and that is why they attack it so hard!

I think the most tragic thing is thinking of all of the people who don't have health insurance who are just hanging in there until Obamacare kicks in who will probably die if the Republicans repeal it. What a disgusting thought.

10. Indeed this is. Really short and to the point

I remember almost 20 years ago, when I was still young and with no worries about sickness and death, a friend said how her mother was ill - cancer, I think, and then she reached the life time cap and she died.

I hope that even if the Republicans take over the White House and Congress, that even they will realize that many parts of Obamacare people want: no lifetime cap, no pre-existing conditions, no donut hole for seniors.

And, that by then it will be implemented and many people will realize that the alternative is worse.
