Fast Forward to 2023-----With the Tea Party and Republican obstructionists experiencing a continual decline in their ranks, and their power rapidly diminishing ---a new voter ID law will frighten them even further. It will be put into law by those who have been disenfranchised in the past. The way it will work is that they will have to submit their DNA for testing and their voter identification card will state who else they are related to. It was great to find that Strom Thurmond’s relatives could suddenly have a new relative at family picnics, and that the Jefferson Society suddenly had to admit a lot of AA’’s to their ranks based on their rules of bloodline-----but it will even be better when these clowns of white racial purity find out who their cousins are. A good read on this is a book “Slaves in the Family” where a white South Carolina author searches the land records about the Ball family and finds out all of this. The South has the most intricate record keeping in their county records, and Martin Luther King’s words will ring true---sons and daughters of slaves and sons and daughters of slave holders will be able to move beyond the racism that has so horribly impaired our country. I am hoping that Michelle Obama returns to her family’s roots in South Carolina and runs for office there. Put a flashlight on racism and it disappears.
And some of them just have to be wondering what will happen when the balance of power turns. How will they be treated when they are no longer in power?
