(25,592 posts)Massive, wholesale spying is so Paranoidly conservative. Snowden exposed the spying.

(37,152 posts)essential in a democracy. I feel sorry for the kid because he didn't think much about his own future but am also glad to have the information he provided. I don't see how our knowing about this info collection puts the country at risk.

(15,189 posts)Who bit off more than he could chew. He moved too fast too soon without a real "plan" if he even had one. "Use your brain Moran".

(47 posts)As a political science major, Snowden committed treason, and should be punished.

(28,749 posts)The Utah data center has been under construction for quite some time... it would be nice if the public knew to ask "why".

(36,974 posts)... therefore he is an admitted criminal who should be arresting and stand trial.

(3,919 posts)snowden is not a whistleblower. he is a conniving, self centered thief and traitor. he could care less about you or i or our freedom, well-being, and the safety of our loved ones. his motivation? money (4 laptops to the highest bidders, perhaps?) and fame as a whistleblower hero. he may be technologically savvy but since not one of us knows the "whole picture" of what is going on world wide - we can guess, surmise, etc. - he made some terrible choices.
MindMover
(5,016 posts)and he could be a conniving self centered whistleblower... that does not merit a charge of treason... his motivation you say is money ... I do not know what his motivation is.... other than being a whistleblower ...
I think terrible choices include people like Zimmerman who use deadly force against unarmed teenagers...

(28,749 posts)but executed it horribly, and maybe did it for the wrong reasons. He for sure potentially (likely) committed a crime while doing so.
