Here i am seeking help again

Well one of my Christian right wing antagonists just asked me what's with this 7 billion to Africa, neglecting Americans while giving this staggering amount to Africa? Personally i did not even know about it until she brought it to my attention. Told her i would "google"it and get back to her.

'While he is here, the president is expected to announce new efforts to increase trade and investment in the eastern region of Africa, as well as a plan to help double access to reliable electricity in the continent.

Mr. Obama will also announce a new push to prevent wildlife trafficking, in which sophisticated poaching syndicates kill elephants and rhinoceroses and sell their tusks and horns in contravention of international conventions. Mr. Obama will commit $10 million to help combat the problem and will detail a member of his Fish and Wildlife Service to the continent.

“It’s decimating the populations of some of Africa’s iconic animals, including rhinoceros and elephants as well,” '

this was a direct order from God. That's what you tell her. That's what she will understand.

They can have their killer bees back. And a few species of ants.

If we're talking aid in US dollars, well, you have to decide what you think about that.

EDIT: On second thought, try this. It's very powerful: "You go tell Raphael that I ain't takin' no jive from no Western Union messenger! You tell that asshole, if he got somethin' to tell me to get his ass down here himself!"

That should do the trick.

10 countries in terms of
GDP growth are in Africa. It's the future of business, exports, and natural resources. China's last President visited 17 times in one 10 month period. The new President took office in March and has already visited once a month. Basically, the fight is on to make sure they aren't taken over by China and/or have their resources stolen like in the past. One of the 3 countries he visited had increased buying our exports 30% just in the last year.

The 7 Billion will come as contracts to American companies. It's aid to Africa, but economic stimulus to America. Obama has 500 businesspeople in tow with him on this trip. We need to be much more pro-active with Africa before it becomes too late. I was literally disgusted at the headline in the news about the cost of Obama's trip to Africa without a single mention of the purpose of the trip or the importance of the continent to our future.
The right wing press is playing into the hands of the bigots.

Also, the budget for foreign aide has already been set. Obama is taking it from somewhere else. Maybe the war on drugs in Mexico.

10. Hey, we neglect American because helping Americans makes Baby Free Market Jesus cry

What does he want? The kind of economy we had for 35 years after WW2, with good wages, emulation of dodgy banking practices, innovation that put us on the Moon and developed the entire microelectronics industry?

You know, the kinds of things that conservatives these days call "socialism".
