The only person ever imprisoned for GW Bush Torture programs.

I heard this on Thom Hartmann recently and it doesn't seem to have appeared on DU yet, so

Well, this example is sure to make us all keep quiet and shut out mouths. It seems we now jail the honorable that tell the truth and promote and coddle the weasels that gave them the orders.

More to it than that, of course, but I do remember many interviews with Kiriakou on Keith and Rachel back when he was still free.

Interesting info on how he spends his time in jail, also. Enjoy the article. John is probably being persecuted in prison for it this very moment.

Imprisoned CIA Torture Whistleblower Describes Prison Life In Remarkable Detail

John Kiriakou, the former CIA officer sentenced to two and a half years in prison for leaking the name of a secret agent in charge of the CIA’s Bush-era torture program, has written a letter detailing his initial time served at the Federal Correctional Institute in Loretto, Pennsylvania.

The letter reveals a very interesting perspective of a trained intelligence officer — Kiriakou worked for the CIA from 1990 to 2004 — co-mingling with a variety of common criminals.

Kiriakou, 47, who pleaded guilty in October and began his sentence in February, begins the letter by saying that his imprisonment is “punishment for blowing the whistle on the CIA’s illegal torture program and for telling the public that torture was official U.S. government policy.”

He's able to immerse himself in many cultures, such a fantastic learning experience. And he's paid to do it!

Thank, you Eric. Thank you Barack.

Another reason why several officials in the Bush administration should be doing time.
