The Tea Party plans a comeback. Where's the Occupy movement?

The fascists are planing to rally and trick the the undecided voters again. We need to counter-rally and get the word out.

They cried foul about being investigated by the IRS when they called for tax evasion and violence towards Democrats. They got off easy for what they did. We need to stop them.

got tired of being beaten and pepper sprayed by the five-O, so they basically said to Hell with it (for now, at least).

is that they are two very different kinds of movements.

The Tea Party is just another in a long line of dead end, artificially-flavored conservative astroturf fronts, soon to follow the Know-Nothings, Dixiecrats, McCarthyists, the American Independent Party, John Birch Society, and the Moral Majority into the trashcan of history.

OWS will eventually fade, too, but its message will live on long after the Tea Party has been replaced by the next conservative flavor of the month.

The Tea Party was successful because, after protesting in funny costumes, they organized and got people they liked nominated and elected. Occupy, with rare exception, decided they didn't want to engage in the political process, which is why, I suspect, they focused so much on developing their own decision-making processes (which would never be practical on a national level).

Perhaps we could call ourselves the 2nd new deal movement, or the FDR movement. We need to put progressive democrats on the ticket and into office wherever we can. We can't afford to abandon the party. We need to revitalize it.

I'll grant you they have lost attention, probably because they aren't as tuned into technology, but they are out there

We need to counter rally these hacks.

I'm sure we can get college students and grads to vote in masses like in 2012. We need to tell them about the republican plan to double student loan interest rates.
