Yet, of course, most corporate media and the right-wing seems to be fixated on the gallup tracking polls showing Romney slightly ahead (within MOE).

Romney seems to be getting a LOT of media attention now that the primary is all but officially concluded and I expect that all the attention on him is going to drown out anything positive for Obama, at least for a little while. The flip side, of course, is that the more attention Romney receives, the more he tends to stick his foot in his mouth and is prone to gaffes. Romney and his wife seemed a bit arrogant the other day speaking about setting Obama packing and that it was his "turn". That won't help much with his favorables.

As I recall, McCain had a good chance to win Pennsylvania, too! And Sarah Palin was a gamechanger, by golly! All the womenfolk were going to vote for her because we all know ladyparts vote for ladyparts!

Polls are what they are, I guess. The media is going to oversaturate us with them from now through the election. With any luck, people are finally starting to seeing it all as white noise. I know I do.

Seriously, the debates will be fantastic. Cool Obama vs. the Car Salesman. I still remember how the media kept trying to pretend McCain and Palin actually held their own in their debates ... and then those insta-polls brought the reality home. Fantastic.
