The failure of the "Buffet Rule" is an early birthday gift for the President. I'm sure he

knew this was not going to pass, as popular as it was with the American people. The repubs look very bad on this, and it becomes obvious to the least observer of politics that the only people they care about are the 1%. It may not look like a gift, but I do think it is. The President can use this with confidence for the rest of the campaign.

...especially since I believe that come general election, Romney et. al. are going to want to get away from primary issues and try to nail Obama on the economy.

I guess they're fucked if they do and fucked if they don't.

Of course, that's what you get by striking the kind of Faustian bargains they did with their wingnut base.

I thought I checked the YEA list carefully, but I guess not carefully enough. What is Pryor trying to prove? Is his NO vote so the bill can be brought back to the floor?

10. And a 'Democrat' from Arkansas, Pryor, voted with the repugs. Wouldn't want to offend the Waltons.

And now it adds fodder. He would've liked to have it pass, but yeah, it's going to be an election issue.

I guess Scott Brown draws the line in his "bipartisanship" when it comes to taxing his donors.

don't get to the top by themselves alone. That one went viral like crazy. It was wonderful to see it play over and over again!

But she needs to do another one. Maybe on the Buffett rule, talking about "fair share" which anybody can understand and which is hard to argue against.

I don't want to see Brown slide through because Warren isn't being aggressive enough. I don't think she nearly as well known as he is (except to us, of course, here at DU!).
