If they were Max Baucus democrats i would think it would not much would be different. If they were more true to democratic values then the president would have never brought this SS cut proposal. I say give us real democrats.

5. Even with a bunch of Max Baucus types, it would be drastically different.

You'd see government actually passing bills, passing budgets, there'd be no fiscal cliffs or threats on the debt ceiling. We wouldn't be seeing uber progressive legislation being pushed through, but we'd be seeing reasonable movement in the places where its generally expected, especially on jobs/infrastructure.

I saw something that we won the popular vote of the house by 2 million yet we lost the house because they drew the lines for the gop.

I agree with you.

Another DUer pointed out this article on the DLC/Clinton crowd at work.

4. There would've been no "fiscal cliff" to speak of. Even with a bunch of blue dogs.

There'd be no more talk of not raising the debt ceiling. There'd be some kind of jobs/infrastructure bill getting passed, maybe not one as big as some of us would like, but it would definitely be something. I think we'd definitely have a decent immigration bill on the way. And I highly imagine this chained CPI stuff wouldn't be on the table at all.
