James Carville: Hillary Clinton Won't Decide On Presidential Run Until 2014 (VIDEO)

04/05/2013

James Carville, a longtime advisor to the Clintons who recently joined the Ready For Hillary PAC, said former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton won't decide on a 2016 presidential run until 2014.

"We are going to continue to talk about it, and she is not going to make up her mind, probably, until after the midterms," Carville said during a Friday interview on MSNBC. "We're just going to be sitting around here waiting and there's not much we can do about it."

Carville said he doesn't know what Clinton's plans are, and noted she may not even know herself.

"I don't know that, really, that she knows if she's going to run or not," Carville said. "If she feels like that there's a real contribution for her to make then I suspect that she'll decide to run, if she thinks otherwise, she may choose to pursue something else."

normal bullshit from politicians, not a big deal, nothing to get upset about, but bullshit nonetheless.

Keep the hungry fish on the line, knowing that if if Hillary is discussed too early, the scrutiny form both left and right will begin.

Whatever Hillary decides to do, she probably won't make an announcement until after the 2014 midterm election. Why would anyone want to announce now what they plan to do in 2016? That would probably give the Republicans even more time to attack them.

by making it harder for the Democrats to hold the WH in 2016.

Right now, she's the thing sucking the air out of the room in terms of the discussion; any other candidate to the nomination with the exception of Biden needs to start establishing themselves now in terms of recognition on a national stage and can't do that until Hillary announces what she's going to do. So the electability of people like Cuomo, O'Malley and even someone like Warren goes to pot waiting for Clinton to decide.

As far as I'm concerned, she's not in this race until she puts herself in...until then, I'm considering her to not be running.
