Repugs Angry at Google for Easter Snub

"Republicans continuing to search for reasons Hispanics reject them at the polls will apparently be doing it on Bing and not Google. Republicans actively oppose a path to citizenship in Immigration Reform, and the expansion of Medicaid, but they also manage to add some insult to that injury. You may have notice on Twitter, Facebook, or perhaps Google itself that the "Google Doodle" on Sunday celebrated Cesar Chavez's birthday and not the Christian holiday Easter. Now some conservative Christians including Michelle Malkin are feeling snubbed by what Rod Dreher of The American Conservative referred to as, "a relatively obscure cultural figure".

someone pretends is what Jesus looked like? They'd probably freak if it was a picture of what Jesus would more likely have looked like. How do they think a Jewish guy from that region would appear back then?

Free market and all........... They say that they're all for "freedom" and the "free marketplace" but, in the end, they really just want things run their own way (or no way).

4. Another Search Engine?

The other main U.S. search engine, Bing, is operated by Microsoft, whose CEO is Bill Gates. I don't think he's a Christian.

the point is, really, that they need to get a life instead of how search engines are decorating their websites. Are they that bored with their lives and have the time to sit around and actually get outraged over such mindless stuff? Really?

Bullies and manipulators need to play the victim. Thus we are faced with a ridiculous situation in which the same people who would have been all right with Google putting up a picture of a bunny or a colored egg are having screaming fits because they honored a Catholic father. Yes, it has come to this.

Why would they overlook such a huge day in the lives of so many?

Being a Christian, I found it somewhat offensive myself.

Why was it offensive? You and gop act as if Google said screw jesus and his resurrection. Guess what? Everybody aren't Christians and if you're thin skinned enough to let something so minor bother you, I don't know what to say

I speak for myself only, and in this case, in response to a thread on the matter.

As I said above, it is a pretty huge day in the lives of a couple billion people, so it is kinda odd the company famous for it's timely "doodles" would ignore it, in favor of a certainly much less well-known individual. There almost certainly was a conscious decision to skip over the religious significance of the day which, again, is held with such reverence by over 2 billion people. Taken like that, yeah, pretty offensive.

Yes, it's a differing viewpoint.

You'll be ok.
