Defeating Useless Rich People

Another excellent article on combating the destructive moochers infesting our society.

snip:

"To counter the domination of America’s rentier oligarchs, we need an Anti-Rentier campaign that would unite unlikely groups: owners of productive businesses as well as workers, populist conservatives and liberal reformers. An Anti-Rentier movement would distinguish businesses that make profits by providing worthwhile goods or services in innovative ways from rentier interests that passively extract exorbitant tolls and fees from the economy without adding any value."

perspective, I am certain that the world will change. That is, if you realize just how deeply this system may be internalized in your own view and reactions. It is so very deep, that it seems to be normal and real, no matter what social strata or place you currently occupy.

What would you do if you were rich and had more power and money than anyone actually deserves or could create with their own two hands, (and no workers or infrastructure)? Well, we are seeing that in action. They own the media and have greater control over the image they can convey to the rest of us.

The question is, from our perspective, should we continue to buy into that image? What do we have to gain from agreeing with the popular notion that the naked emperor is fully clothed? The days when respect and obeisance to authority, (based on assets and influence) can come to an end when we realize that we are not at all obliged to respect exploitation, nor should we continue to enable those who display, (and model) sociopathic tendencies, egoism and narcisstic tendencies. Those skills are counter-productive in the long-run and how can we call ourselves a society when those who are actually enemies of the commons and come to power by gradually controlling, owning and even destroying it are respected and even honored in a cult-like manner.

Maybe people have a fetish for personality worship concerning movie stars, athletes, musicians, etc., but that is far less harmful than bowing down and honoring the most greedy and exploitative amongst us. Whether we know it or not, we all make great sacrifices, (wealth, life and limb) to the people who not only look down on us and have no empathy for our situation, but are proving to be out-of-control and totally insatiable in their lust to have it all, even when it comes down to the meager amounts most of us have left. It has to stop, one way or another.

This is not personal at all. It is about us all and how we survive and hopefully prosper. It seems obvious that the greed for money, (which really translates into power) and its subsequent impact on the vast majority of us will come to an end in one of two ways: either the major players take us to end-game in their winner-takes-all empire, or we realize, (in large numbers) who and what we are dealing with: addicts who chase the dragon at our expense.

So, if the stakes are high enough, maybe it is time for anyone who values the wealthy as a projection of their own lust for wealth and power, (might be there someday so I gotta' respect my future now) consider the implications and ramifications of the outcome or look closely at what's going on and how much needless suffering and utter destruction is caused directly by the criminally affluent and their mental disorder with its built-in death wish.

Just how useful are the rich, really? I hear that they are edible and actually high-quality protein, according to the To Serve Mankind Cookbook. It guess it is the good food they can afford and all that premium health care and such.

is a location in their future. They are shambling zombies in a consumer society they can't afford, but aspire to. And worse, these voters refuse to tax the rich, fearing someday they will tax themselves. Quite an impressive con job, really. Just appalling for society at large.

Thanks!

Totem worship of something you may never, (odds are incredible) have is actually a projective support for an exploitative system.

I strongly think and feel that a critical factor for us all to consider is how "internalized" the system is and how conditioned we are, (even those of us who are well-informed or alternative) in relation to its overall structure. That means serious introspection with an intent towards insight concerning our inculcated ideas absorbed from parents, education, etc., with consideration of the rewards and punishments for internalizing the paradigm into our psyches based on needs for acceptance and, most importantly, survival.

In that case, the solution is within us all, just waiting for discovery. That may be a tall order in the sense that what you find can impact certain forms of denial and threaten certain conceptual comfort and safety zones, which, then, in turn proves why the system is so tenacious, prevalent and self-reinforcing.

They don't produce anything, they don't pay taxes, they just take and take. It's time to cut their "entitlements".

But they're not just parasites -- they actually do a lot of harm to society. For example, their greedy speculation caused the 2008 financial meltdown, they fight laws against pollution, they broadcast lies and dis-information to the public, and they cheat in elections.
