So we spend billions on nation building in Iraq and other countries yet people back home are cut

Yes CUT, we are being CUT.

No fancy words like austerity, sequesters or whatever. Money was being squandered in other parts of the world for oil yet in this country the poor are being cut! WHY!!!

We dish out millions to other countries for warfare. I don't mind funding the needy in Africa, Haitis etc.

but I think these things all the time and have been for a while. It's like one's brain on blinders.

I know brilliant people of whom can't make this stretch, or it's maybe they don't want too.

Take Care Rosa

but your right. I see this all around and feel very helpless even when I'm helping. I have to have faith in humanity that we shall all awaken cause I can't imagine a world where our thoughts are processed for us.

Sometimes counters are reset when a goal is reached, really depends on the creator's criteria.

That being said It could also be true, I can't cumulate debt since we turned from a lending nation to a borrowing nation ala "Reagun". There are too many of Bush's henchmen embedded in our Democracy to count on anything constant or consistent combined with fake Democrats.

It's a mess. That's the one thing I can say with any truth.

While they are safely tucked into their king size beds we have homeless trying to find a warm grate to lay on until they get told to "move along". While they get up and have a nice little snack many mothers are wondering if there is food enough for the next day. While they consider taking a pill for an ache or two there are many seniors that are trying to cut their pills in half or skip altogether to pay the rent for this month. While they are tossing out very usable quilts, clothing others can't even get a used blanket thanks to many city rules that now state it's illegal to clothe or feed those in need. How sad is that? Now with even more cuts programs like Meals on Wheels get hammered leaving many seniors and disabled with little alternative other then skipping meals or hoping a neighbor might be able to bring them a bowl of soup. They have almost made it to the point where the sick, disabled, aged, homeless, unemployed are expected to apologize for being in the situation they are in even though we all know who caused much of it and continues to keep them between a rock and a hard place.
