Related: About this forum4 year old shoots himself in stomach with Dad’s gun.
How the hell do you fall asleep with your son, knowing that your gun is within his reach?
These kind of heartbreaking stories need to get a lot more coverage by MSM every day.People need to know it could easily happen to them.
Funny how, Murders lead the nightly local news almost every night. Encourages people to fear and arm themselves. How about some fucking counter balance as well!

(3,003 posts)...not all gun-owners are drunken, toothless, half-brained rednecks. Even so, it's common sense to have your gun(s) locked up and the key hidden in a place where the kids cannot access it. The kid is 4 years old??? Sheesh, hadn't he taught his son to NEVER touch a gun?? Even the NRA encourages that in its Eddie Eagle program!

(26,629 posts)doesn't automatically mean that they're going to be responsible about it.
Maybe there should be some basic requirements in place for a person to be allowed to own firearms. Or maybe the kid's death is simply the price that we all gladly pay for our American freedoms.
