Notice how the teabagger gets shitload of cheers for asking the question:
"I do not believe that the President has committed impeachable offenses -- that's high crimes," McCain said in response to a woman named Angelica. While McCain received scattered applause for his answer, Angela received significantly more cheers from the audience for her question.
"But I would remind you, and I hate to remind you, I really dislike reminding you -- the president just was reelected by a majority of the American people," he added.
It was a strangely familiar position for McCain, who, during the 2008 presidential election, famously defended then-candidate Obama at a town hall when a questioner said the Democratic candidate was "an Arab."

These folks at the McCain town halls are dumber than a box of rocks. These are the same idiots who want to deter immigrants with guns and think undocumented immigrants get government benefits. They have no clue about how government functions or current policy. I would also note how they are pretty much all old white people....the shrinking and shriveling GOP base.

(24,412 posts)They embraced and invited the loonies into their party so that they could completely obstruct the second half of President's first term and help ensure that there wouldn't be a second term. While the second part of their plan didn't turn out like they hoped, the first part of the plan is succeeding on into this year but Republicans are paying a terrible political price for keeping the loonies around and feeding them with bogus and ominous conspiracy theories about what might have happened in Benghazi, as well as inventing fake groups in order to sink nominations (i.e. Hagel). Unfortunately, despite the fact that the teabagger loons are clearly unhealthy for the GOP, not to mention the country and our system of government, the GOP still (largely) seems unwilling and/or unable to simply get rid of them, mostly, I suspect, to maintain whatever electoral viability they have left outside of the South and some Western states. Just wake me up when the nightmare is over!
