both houses should be in session then. Isn't the SOTU usually in late January?

15. I think the SOTU is scheduled in inauguration years, to be several weeks after the inauguration.

It will be in session through the 6th. It will reconvene the 12th through the 15th and then again the 25th through the 28th.

August is mostly recess. September November and December two weeks. June, four days a week for four weeks.

and not working?? They have a damn nerve!! They should be working 5 days a week like the rest of us.
This is insane. We, the people, should demand that our money NOT go and pay these idiots for working less than 1/2 of the year. You know this August they are in session just 2 days!!! Just 2 days!!! Can we shutdown all our businesses for 29 days in August -- Let's ALL go on vacation!!!
