Why is Morning Joe making all these guest appearances on evening shows on MSNBC?

He has to have an agenda considering his own show runs for 3 hrs starting at 6:00a.m. EST. I think he is setting himself up for a run for the presidency in 2016 as a moderate republican. Let's face it, the slate will be clean for 2016 and it's anybody's for the taking. We don't know what state of health Hillary will be in for 2016 and she may not be up for the run. Joe S. has taken on some of the kooks in his party,. He's now taking on the NRA. I think that he's a little bored with the Morning Joe gig, and like most politicians has visions of grandeur, having watched how President Obama's campaign team was able to put together a winning formula and may believe that he can duplicate it for himself.

If the economy continues to putt putt along for the next two years creating on average of fewer than 200K jobs a month, the door could swing open for the right GOP candidate to sail through. Which is why we needed Harry Reid to ram through some form of filibuster reform if the Senate is going to be able to get anything accomplished during this session and I'm becoming more doubtful by the day that it's going to happen.

I'm guessing that if the Repugs choose to avoid defaulting on the national debt, it will be in favor of raising the debt ceiling, but for only a few months at a time like they've stated that they would. This will mean continued gridlock through 2014 and I'm not convinced that by then the voting electorate at large, that doesn't pay as close attention as those on this board do, may be willing to throw the entire bunch out by 2014 or may be ready to move in a different direction. I know that this battle over assault rifles was not part of President Obama's agenda for 2013 and that plus his push for a comprehensive immigration bill, could hurt him if this drags on throughout 2013, with little to show for it. Particularly with 11 million illegal immigrants coming out of the underground economy to legally compete with other low income workers for the few low skilled jobs remaining in the service industries.

The Democrats may be too wimpy to bring up the dead intern, but the wing nut republicans will latch onto it big time.

If he even hints at actually attempting a presidential run, there will be a swift boat type book out in less than a week. They're probably writing it as we speak, just in case.

They did for Romney after all.

But you thought Scarborough might run as a moderate.

And my response to that is that he'd never make it. He has too much baggage and they are ruthless enough to throw it all in his face. He'd be dodging "dead intern" questions the entire primary season.

but the death of Lori Klausitus is something that guarantees Scarborough will never seek any high-level office ever again. As awful as it may sound, he would be forced to spend almost his entire campaign just responding to questions about her death. And you know how vicious the right wing blogosphere can get, even to one of their own.

For those unfamiliar with the story, here's one of the more yellow versions.

Given he's an attention whore, it wouldn't be a local office it would have to be a national office which narrows it down.

Scratch the senate as both are pretty safe where they are.

It would either have to be his old house district (which he would see as be beneath him I think), governor of Florida, or President.

Given how unpopular Scott is that is strong possibility, though he would be up next year. That might be a little too soon.

Maybe he is talking about running for president then.

He received a lot of hate mail and tweets last week when he verbally attacked Mika on his show. He already made an on-air apology to her earlier this week. The big wigs at MSNBC know that without the Dem and Liberal viewership Jokes morning show would be hit, he can't afford to lose our viewership at those hours because Fox and Fiends have the mad hatter republicans viewers all rapped up at those hours. The jerk is just doing damage control from the way he treated Mika. Joke is one-half bat-chit crazy, while most of the rest of the republican base is 100% batty. He would not be doing Tweety's or any other Dem show that late if there was not a reason for it, and I do not think it is because he will be running for office, not with that story in his background, it has to be another reason. I may be wrong, but we know Joke is rude, condescending, and arrogant,a typical ego driven rethug. Be blessed everyone!
