Full $51 billion relief bill passed the House, with 179 Republicans opposed.

A measure providing $51 billion for relief and recovery from Hurricane Sandy was approved by a bipartisan majority in the House on Tuesday evening, three weeks after Northeast Republicans excoriated the chamber's GOP leaders for failing to vote on storm aid before the end of the last Congress.

The full $51 billion relief bill passed the House 241-180, with 179 Republicans opposed.

with more than 1/2 of the republican caucus opposed. This has not happened much since 2010.

of the a-holes who voted no.

They are the ones who want austerity, give it to them.

No don't cut the social safety net but there is plenty of federal dollars that can easily be taken away providing the cuts they want but in their backyard. Force them to vote no against the guts they want.

That is compromise and payback.

Oh yeah and fun to boot!

they should have no problem voting for that. Even better would be cuts in their backyard before any future disaster money goes to their districts. Let's see how their constituents react then. Oh, everyone print out this list for any future presidential run (P. Ryan??) by these who voted "no" to fellow american victims!!!

Not sure who the Dem was that voted against it. I looked at the names and could pick that one out.

Oregon delegation voted 4-1 for the bill.
