(131,129 posts)I don't care for it, but doesn't carry over to their ideas/thoughts/characters. She's pretty good.

And just shook his head.

(5,141 posts)She is really dumb. I think she watches Fox before she goes on the air so she'll be up to the minute on their talking points. She likes to portray herself as a journalist...her degree is in art history and an MA in religious studies. How she is where she is is a source of bewilderment. And I don't think she's all that "cute" but then again I am a woman so WTFDIK.

(16,993 posts)Can't stand him, makes me feel like someone is scraping their fingernails across a chalkboard. When he's visibly sweaty, it's even worse. When he attempts to interject his opinion or knowledge about something, I change the channel until he's gone.

(5,141 posts)He makes me crazy too. He's an overrated cub reporter and it shows.

(5,165 posts)Luke Russert is King of the Presstitutes. If it wasn't for his Republican asskissing Daddy, Luke would be flunking out of Arby's management training program because he can't master the meat slicer!
I have never seen a more self-centered pompous snot than Luke. Really, is it too much to ask someone to whack him in the face with a pie while he's on the air?

(51,715 posts)She reminds me of the sorority girls I detested while living in the South. But she's pretty progressive in what she actually says so it creates a bit of cognitive dissonance in me.

(24,096 posts)about finding a kindergarten for her and how distressing it was for mommy!
about how she has to go through applications for 'just the right fit', and it was so exhausting and confusing for her.
she sounds like one of those parents that have every minute of the kid's day planned out - play dates and all that unholy crap. schedules and calendars and goals and targets from here to forever. maybe not but she sure made it sound like her little precious had to have the precious little perfect school, not like the rest of us rabble.
she sounds like a rich snob, protected from the real world.

(1,805 posts)I'm surprised "The Cycle" has lasted this long.

(54,443 posts)I didn't know her, but her voice didn't really bother me all that much.

(53,410 posts)I really find her voice very irritating. And it's not like it's something she can't learn to modulate. All she has to do is train herself to speak in a slightly lower tone and slower.
Good receptionists do it all the time.

(Seriously, though, her cadence sounds overly measured as if she's talking in an accent not her own. I'm no expert. That's just what it sounds like to me.)

(1 post)What a relief to know that I am not the only one who is always annoyed by this woman. MSNBC should send to a voice coach or take her off the air.

(6,806 posts)I thought I was the only one finding her voice and cadence extremely annoying. Why don't they send the ones with the high-pitched voices to a voice coach. I was home for lunch so turned on MSNBC. The other lady sounded great - calm, moderated cadence, no high-pitch screeching. Whenever Crystal is on, I find my face scrunching up as I listen to her voice. I, too, am curious as to why The Cycle is still on -- it is almost unwatchable and I don't really watch it but driving home I have MSNBC on the radio so hear just the voices.
